Communicator

I listen. I engage in conversation to determine what exactly the problem is that I have been tasked with solving. I set clear expectations with my clients and deliver an effective solution.

Fully Functional

I am always learning something new with every design that I create. With that passion to learn comes a broad skill set with an integrated approach to strategy and ideas.

Meticulous

Is the T and the E perfectly kerned? Is this the right hex code for the brand? Does a user know to click on that? No aspect of design is too small or too insignificant and deserves attention.

Process Keeper

An established workflow with an awareness of all the moving parts is critical for the timeliness and overall success of projects. I make sure everyone else stays on track, so I can deliver.

What People Say About Me

I value Jessica as not only a problem solver, but a problem seeker — she looks for opportunities for improvement and capitalizes on them. Her ideation, attention to detail and tempo never fail to produce solid design solutions. Solutions aside, working with Jessica is just plain fun.

Eric Bumgardner, Southwestern University

Jessica never fails to bring her creative energy, innovative ideas and great design to the table. Working on a project with Jessica is always fun and productive; we've collaborated on several, from major campaigns to one-off social media posts. I have no doubt that the work Jessica's produced for Southwestern has improved the university's digital image. I am particularly impressed with the level of work she's done on designing and implementing several custom/campaign websites, including Southwestern's first digital President's Report. Additionally, she has devoted much of her time to researching and implementing more effective email communication practices for university & external relations.

Danielle Stapleton, Southwestern University

She is a rare talent that I haven't seen for a long time in the industry. She can pick up jobs and give it life. Constantly doing interesting work and well polished design. Only wish all the art directors these days are like her.

Pierre Loo, S&H

Besides being a joy to work with, Jessica possesses the rare combination of technical skill and design sense. She has a remarkable ability to assimilate process and techniques that would normally require repeated training.

Gregg Ward, MRM Worldwide

Jessica is one of the hardest working people I know. She works very hard to produce her best work even when working with the most unrealistic deadlines. She goes out of her way on a daily basis to get everything she needs done while helping others meet their deadlines as well. She is definitely the kind of colleague I feel lucky to have.
