Hi! My name is Jess and I'm an art director & designer from Austin, Texas. After graduating from college in 2007, I took a short detour to live up the big city ad scene in New York City. I soaked it all in while I could, bringing my fast-paced and focused technique back to Texas in 2008 to join the HCB Health team. Along the way I've learned a lot, proudly serving up creative ideas to clients like Verizon, US Army, Alcon Labs, Mckesson, KCI and US Oncology (to name a few). Five Years later here I am...still learning and still perfecting.

ART DIRECTOR, HCB Health
Austin, TX; 09/08 - present

  • Created and managed multiple, concurrent projects in different stages
  • Trained and provided art direction for junior designers and production artists
  • Worked with photographers, illustrators and other suppliers to produce high-quality work for clients
  • Acted as in-house photographer
  • Worked closely with Agency CEO to complete all new business needs including presentation boards,
    RFP files and other pitch materials


ART DIRECTOR, Sudler & Hennessey
New York, NY; 03/08 - present

  • Designed and developed materials for pharma clients, including identity, collateral materials,
    direct mail, print ads and newsletters
  • Oversaw in-house and new business materials as needed
  • Designed and produced a monthly newsletter for Bayer Healthcare
  • Worked as a key member of the team that developed a creative strategy that directly contributed
    to S&H winning the new business of Orbit Gum
  • Worked closely with the agency studio to keep jobs on task and schedule

  • Acted as a lead designer of second shift crew where supervision and direction was minimal
    and the ability to problem solve was key
  • Built & released mechanicals, performed detailed copy edits, retouched photos and comped
    projects daily in a fast-paced and hectic work environment
